“Famous Amos” and his wife Ardemia live in La Habra CA .  He has been with the Speed Sports Top Fuel Hydro for the past 20 years. He is the best engine tuner in the business. 

Amos started working with nitromethane engines when he was 18 years old. He has done it all including owning his own funny car, crew chief for the top fuel Ford dragster in the 60’s and was Crew Chief of the Year for four consecutive years with NHRA.

Amos has tuned numerous IHBA top fuel hydros over the years and most have gone on to win world championships.  

In 2005 the Speed Sports Special won the world championship plus set a world speed record of 252.2 MPH. Without the “Amos touch” there is little doubt we probably could not have done it, and if we had it would have been very expensive from a broken parts standpoint.
